Documents in the archives of the Office of the Attorney General of the Swiss Confederation may be accessed by the general public free of charge on expiry of the protective period. The protective period for OAG documents is normally 50 years.
Requests for access to documents in the OAG archives must be made verbally or in writing to the Federal Archives. Requests for access during the protective period must be made in writing. Access during the protective period will only be allowed subject to certain conditions.
