Anyone can ask the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland for information on whether the OAG has processed data relating to them. Applicants must file a written request with proof of identity.
The information is normally provided in writing, in the form of a printout or photocopy; it is free of charge. In exceptional cases, the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland may charge a contribution towards the costs, but it may not exceed CHF 300. The applicant will be notified of the amount of any share of costs before the information is provided and may withdraw their application within ten days.
You can find further information on the Data Protection Act on the website of the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
